You can make all sorts of shapes and sizes of woven material on a peg loom. From rectangles to circles, the possibilities are endless! It is a great craft for using up vast quantities of recycled fabric and the woven pieces are thick and durable making them perfect for practical, hardwearing household items.

Here are 5 project ideas to inspire your next peg loom weaving adventure:

1) A Rug

This is a classic peg loom project and the joy of it is that it can be as big or small as you like! They are a great way to use up large amounts of recycled fabric and the thick, durable nature of peg loom woven fabric means it makes a comfy and springy rug underfoot!

2) Cushion Cover

By creating a long rectangle, folding it in half and sewing together the sides, you can make a squishy cushion cover! Why not make a matching set for your sofa?

3) Mug Rug

These little coasters are the perfect companion for your cup of tea! They are super quick to make meaning a whole set is feasible to make in one afternoon!

4) Seat Pad

Say goodbye to hard seats by adding your own comfy seat pad. If you wanted your pad to be even squishier, you could double or even triple the the layers of weaving!

5) Draught Excluder

This is a slightly more involved project and is the perfect next step after mastering the basics of peg loom weaving. I made this in three pieces: a rectangle for the main body and two small circles for the ends. I then sewed them altogether and stuffed it with scrap fabric cut offs. The perfect way to use up even more scraps!
