A lot of projects using fabric strips require them to be joined together into one continuous length. This is a super simple, no sew method to attach two strips of fabric together which will work for most fabric types.
Method:
1. Take your two strips of fabric and align the ends you want to join together .

2. Fold the ends over by approximately 2cm and cut a small slit in the fold line through both layers.

3. Lay the fabric strips in opposite directions, aligning up the two cut slits.

4. Take the non-cut end of the fabric strip that is lying on top and push it up through both slits from back to front.

5. Gently pull the non-cut end all the way through.

6. Pull both fabric strips to make a tight slip knot.

You now have one continuous strip of fabric!
Things of note:
- Knot the smaller strip of fabric onto the longer strip as this will mean pulling less fabric through the cut slits.
- If the strips pull apart, simply cut the ends off and try again.
- It can feel fiddly at first but gets easier with every try!
I’d love to know what projects you are joining your fabric strips together for! Why not leave a comment below 🙂
